HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Hi, everyone. Can you believe it is 2010 already?!?! Last year was a very busy year for me. I did not update my blog as much as I would have liked to, so, this year I am going to try to update it more often. I feel like I am still new at this blogging thing so please be patient with me. I will try to not be as boring this year. I will start by updating you on some things I didn't get to add before the end of the year....

Alexis went to Disney World for the first time in November to celebrate her 3rd birthday. She loved it. Everyday was her birthday or at least that is what she thought. She would tell them everyday, "It's my birthday." On her actual birthday, November 28th, she went to Bibbity Bobbity Boutique for a princess make-over. I was very surprised when she allowed them to fix her hair. I don't have all my pictures uploaded on this computer yet so I will have to update later with a better picture. In the meantime, here is a picture of her after they were finished. She seemed to be in a very serious mood by then.

She had so much fun that she didn't want to leave. She still talks about it. I hope to start on her scrapbook soon and will add pictures as I go. I hope to get some inspiration to get it done soon. So, keep checking for updates!!

I didn't get to do a lot of Christmas cards because of working extra hours and taking the trip to Disney World. This is what I did get to do for my fellow employees. I got the idea from someone on the Cricut message board. I don't remember her name but if you see this, thank you for such a great idea. I got the cut file from wvcrafty on the Cricut message board. Thank you wvcrafty for sharing your cut file. It is a cocoa mug with a pack of cocoa, a chocolate covered spoon and a chocolate covered candy stick. This is a great idea for a quick Christmas card/gift for co-workers. Everyone loved them.

Here are some gifts I made for Olivia's and Alexis' teachers for Christmas. This was another wonderful idea from someone on the Cricut message board. I am so sorry I can't remember the name of the creator of this project. I will try to get better with writing the person's name down so I can give credit where credit is due. This is some post it note holders made from acrylic picture frames, scrapbook paper, post it notes, and mini gel pens. They are very simple to make and great gifts that can be made very quickly.

This one was made with a longer frame so I put the teacher's name on it....

Not sure if you can see the name...

Here is one I made for Olivia's teacher. The same concept but made with a tv guard. It is an acrylic piece that goes in front of the tv or vcr to keep a toddler from pressing buttons or putting something in the vcr. I made this on like a name plaque for her desk/note pad holder.

Hopefully, these pictures are clear enough for you to see them. I had fun making them and they were both excited about giving them to their teachers. Now, I have to think of something for valentine's day....
