Texas Stampede...

I went to Dallas, Tx for the Texas Stampede, March 18-20.  I had a great time.  This was my first scrapbooking crop that I have attended.  Needless to say, I didn't get a lot of scrapbooking done but, I did meet a lot of wonderful people from Provo Craft and from the Cricut Circle and message board.
We each made calling cards to trade with the circle members.  Here is my calling card...
Here are the calling cards I received from circle members....
The next picture has a few more calling cards and then some goodies that we received with calling cards....
This picture is one of the calling cards I received and a chocolate coin from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.  My daughter stole it the minute she saw it.
Her are pictures of the two wonderful ladies I roomed with, Cassie and Jamie.  We had soo much fun.  There was never a dull moment...  See, we did do SOME crafting...
Here is Tammy.  She is responsible for getting this weekend of fun together for us.  Thank you, Tammy.  You did a great job!!
Mike from Provo Craft was there to answer our questions ....
Cassie and I took some classes with the Pink Stamper and Cindy Royal...
Theresa Collins was there.  She gave a class.  I didn't have the the opportunity to take that one but I heard that it was wonderful.
In the Pink Stamper's class we made these...
We received these special stamps made for this event and this cuttlebug folder from this class...
I failed to take a picture of the projects from Cindy Royal's class but will do that later and update this post with the pictures.   We made tea light cakes and banners in celebration of Cricut's 5th anniversary.  We were supposed to receive the Birthday Bash cartridge with this class but unfortunately they ran out of the cartridge.  They offered some great replacements.  They offered Elegant Edges or Caligraphy and Father's Day.  Cassie chose the Elegant Edges.  I chose Caligraphy and Father's Day...
We did some make 'n takes that I will have to take pictures of and add later.  We played some games...
Here is the swag bag we received with lots of goodies....

Along with several others, we won 4th place for our door decorations.  We get a $15 circut.com credit. Here is our door...
Here is one of the winning doors.  Can you guess who this one belongs to? ...
If you guessed TulipCollector you are right...Isn't it awesome?!?!  I didn't get a picture of every door because by the time I decided to walk every floor of the hotel to take pictures of them, some had already taken there decorations down.  But, here are a few that I did get...

Here is the winning table decoration.  This was done by the only male scrapbooker attending.  He was there with his wife.  Wouldn't it be great if your husband liked to scrapbook with you?!?!

Here are the ladies that were sitting at the tables next to us....
And of course, I have forgotten their names.  Sorry, ladies.  I am terrible with remembering names.  I will have to ask Cassie for your names again.  We had an awesome time.  I have more pics to add but will update later and add more pics of our weekend.  I have to get sleep for work so, I will be back later to add more...

Happy Birthday, Paisli...

Today is Paisli's birthday party.  She loves Minnie Mouse so, I attempted this cake.  I used the Cricut Cake for the polka dots and the wording.  The Minnie hat is rice crispies covered in fondant.  The cake is iced with buttercream frosting and has fondant polka dots.  This was my first attempt at using rice crispies covered in fondant.  It's definitely not perfect but, I had fun doing this one.  I hope she likes it....

Please leave me some feedback.  I would love to read your comments.
